Kim is a certified Kripalu Yoga instructor
through the Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health, in Lenox, MA, and a member of the Kripalu Yoga Teacher's Association. Her quest for the deeper meanings of life lead her to the rich and profound world of yoga in 1986. Always one to be found dancing, singing, laughing or otherwise exploring movement, Kim enjoys bringing a lyrical approach to the inquiry of yoga. She also trained in the martial arts for 6 years, gaining a black belt in Goju-Ryu Karate in 2000. Her practice of yoga is inspired by many wonderful teachers: the fluidity of dance, the fortitude of the martial arts, the wisdom of the I Ching, the precision of BKS Iyengar, as well as the subtle anatomy work of Bonnie Bainbridge Cohen, the energy and chakra work of Barbara Ann Brennan, and the transformations found through Network Spinal Analysis.
Swami Kripalu said “Yoga is the meeting of the drop with the ocean”. With humour and love, Kim will help you to create a bridge between “the drop” of your physical self and “the ocean” of the innate ease, happiness, wisdom and divinity we all possess.
