Kim Zombik - Lady Kim

Biography

Her quest for the deeper meanings of life lead her to the rich and profound world of yoga in college in 1986. She steadily cultivated a home practice while she also trained in the martial arts for 6 years, gaining a black belt in Goju-Ryu Karate in 2000. Her practice of yoga is inspired by many wonderful teachers: the fluidity of dance, the fortitude of the martial arts, the wisdom of the I Ching, the precision of BKS Iyengar, as well as the subtle anatomy work of Bonnie Bainbridge Cohen, the energy and chakra work of Barbara Ann Brennan, and the transformations found through Network Spinal Analysis. Kim enjoys bringing a lyrical approach to the inquiry of yoga.

In addition to her 200-hour training at Kripalu Center, Kim has deepened her own practice of yoga and her teaching through trainings in 20-hour Restorative Yoga and Yoga for Healthy Menstrual Cycle program with Kelly Mcgrath; in 40-hour Yoga Therapeutics and Stress and Trauma trainings, professional trainings, master-classes and advanced classes with Hart Lazer. She is currently involved in Hart’s year-long 150 hour mentorship program.

Swami Kripalu said “Yoga is the meeting of the drop with the ocean”. With humour and love, Kim will help you to create a bridge between “the drop” of your physical self and “the ocean” of the innate wisdom and divinity we all possess.
