Kim Zombik is a certified Kripalu yoga instructor. Originally from Boston, Massachusetts, in search of a life of great depth, she was drawn to the rich and intense world of yoga in 1986. She was certified to teach at the Kripalu Center in 2007, and certified again at United Yoga Montreal, in 2014 in yoga therapeutics. She pursued certification in both Restorative and Yin Yoga in both 2009, and 2019, and in early 2021, was certified by Yoga Behind Bars to bring trauma-informed yoga practice to incarcerated folks, and completed Yoga International’s “Trauma Awareness, a Yogic Framework”

Her asana practice has been inspired by several excellent teachers: the lyricism of dance, the strength of martial arts, the wisdom of the I Ching, the curiosity and grace of Somatic Experiencing, as well as her studies in Indian Music. Her recent travels in India have begun to turn her attention ever inward following the Dhrupad teaching of Niloy Ahsan, and contemplating non-dual awareness. Kim has begun studies in IRest Yoga Nidra.

Swami Kripalu said, "Yoga is the meeting of the drop with the ocean". With humor and love, Kim helps her yoga students become aware of this bridge between the "drop" of their individual selves and the "ocean" of innate joy, clarity and wisdom of the divinity intrinsic to us all.
